The first business I’d love to highlight is Green Toys. My kids have been playing with Green Toys products since they were tiny babies.

One of the first toys I bought my daughter when she was just a few months old was this cute yellow school bus. It was well designed to be easy to grasp for little hands, sturdy, inexpensive and most important of all SAFE. Green Toys are BPA-free, phthalate-free and conform to strict safety and environmental standards of the state of California.
Environmentally Friendly Toys, Made in the USA
Green Toys uses 100% recycled materials in US-based manufacturing facilities. Recycled milk jugs are the primary material used in their manufacturing. Also, their product packaging is mostly recycled cardboard and they strive to use as little plastic “extras” as possible. This is wonderful news as I find the little plastic ties, wrappers and clamshells impossibly frustrating and wasteful.
Engaging Children’s Imaginations
I also love that Green Toys are toys without batteries! I find that these types of toys engage my children’s imagination more. I also love that most of their toys are generally in colors that are neutral.
